ROLE SUMMARY: Neurodiversity Life Coach
Department: Life Coaching Team (programming)
Reports to: Director of Coaching Management
Description: The life coach mentors and cares for the clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide encouragement and support to clients
Collaborate and communicate with client’s other support agencies and direct support professionals when applicable
Facilitate 1-on-1 coaching sessions with clients
Send appointment reminders and support to clients
Maintain person-centered goal sheets and client meeting notes
Attend monthly coach/staff meetings
Either attend or watch monthly board meetings
Collaborate with Director of Coaching Management (if issues arise or support is needed)
Maintain client confidentiality
Mandatory Reporting: Report any potential harm to the client or others.
Complete assigned monthly and annual trainings
Attend Coach Connection meeting and Person-Centered Interview when onboarding a new client
Collect and file encouragement fund expenses and receipts
Collaborate with other coaches
Provide resources needed to maintain and accomplish person-centered goals
You may be a great fit, if you:
Are comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Have professional and/or personal experience supporting neurodivergent adults, trauma survivors, and people from diverse backgrounds.
Believe in person-centered, strengths-based, neurodivergent-affirming support.
Approach others with curiosity, empathy, and respect.
Preferred (but not required):
Professional background in coaching, mentoring, mental health, social services, or related fields
Coaching certification or degree
Neurodivergent lived-experience
Location: Fully remote and flexible
Coaches meet clients in person at community locations within 20 miles of their home, with meeting spots chosen collaboratively by the coach and client.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
Our board members are the backbone of Looking Forward Life Coaching. Together, they guide the organization’s vision and help ensure we provide the best possible coaching and support to our community.
What we look for in potential board members:
Unique training and/or experience that brings an informed perspective to LFLC and aligns with our mission, vision, and values.
Understanding of the social model of disability, and both neurodiversity-affirming and person-centered practices.
Passion for bringing understanding, hope, and opportunity to under-served individuals.
The patience, persistence, and perspective to guide LFLC through both good and challenging times.
Commitment to making person-centered, neurodiversity-affirming support accessible to all.
An approach to leadership grounded in curiosity, empathy, and respect.
Availability to attend monthly virtual meetings.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in nonprofit governance or prior board service.
Professional or lived experience related to neurodiversity advocacy, life coaching, disability rights, and/or peer support.
Financial literacy or experience reviewing budgets, financial reports, or risk oversight.
Background in fundraising, advocacy, or community partnerships.
